Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) is a tickborne virus. Transmission of the virus to humans occurs through the bite of an infected tick or through contact of an infected animals blood. Wild and domestic animals such as cattle, sheep, goats, or hares serve as hosts for the virus.
