Brucellosis is an infectious disease caused by a bacteria that infects animals, mainly sheep, cattle, goats, pigs and dogs. Humans can become infected by eating undercooked meat, consuming raw dairy products, breathing in the bacteria, or by the bacteria entering the body through open wounds.
